Union Minister Anurag Thakur on Sunday said the Centre has no plans to call early Lok Sabha elections. While speaking to a private channel, Thakur clarified that the government has no intention of early election and Prime Minister Narendra Modi would like to serve India's citizens till the last day of his current term.
His clarification comes after a buzz over early election in the wake of the government's call for a special session of Parliament between September 18 and 22, without mentioning the agenda for the session.
